The Enterpise

Beauty 21 Business Ventures is a single proprietorship enterprise duly registered on 23 January 2008 at DTI. The company supplies and manufactures natural beauty soap called PAPAIN White. It focuses on research and development as well as innovation on personal care and cosmetic products based on local raw materials. He sought DOST assistance due to lack of equipment that can speed up the production rate of the firm.

 

The Intervention

Appropriate SETUP innovation system support through upgrading of the equipment by providing 1 unit soap cutter, 2 units soap molds, 1 unit machine mixer, 2 units stainless steel drying rack, 1 unit stainless steel working table, 1 unit weighing scale, and 4 units large steel pots.

 

Result with Impact

With these interventions, Mr. Hermogenes R. Barcebal, Jr., proprietor and manager, was able to increase production from 300 pieces to 1,500 pieces per week. Gross sales scaled up from P2,000.00 to P10,000.00 monthly. Direct employment increased from 2 individuals to 5 individuals excluding indirect employees. Orders of products have been placed locally and in Metro Manila.
